Civ Game

Before we talk of the special edition release of Civilization Gold, let us first get to know what Civilization is. Civilization is a turn based game played on the PC or PSP where a player has to make a successful civilization. The player has to take care of everything the infrastructure, political systems, advancement, modernization, culture, food, trade, security, army, storage etc. You start with a small area of limited population and then go off to increasing population exponentially and acquiring more area, making technological advances etc.

Sid Meier was the original creator of the game and after the Civilization 4 was released, a special edition Civilization Gold was released. Civilization 4 had an expansion to it called Warlords, and Civilization Gold combined Civilization 4 and the expansion pack of Warlords. Civilization Gold was basically a combo pack and offered no advancement to the game as such. It just combined two already existent game pieces together and grabbed the fans to buy it.

Talking of Civilization 4, Civ 4 was extremely well taken for the expertise that was applied in it to make it user friendly, compatible and interactive. There were several great new features to Civ 4 such as better visual elements, better programming, more characters, more great people, interesting technological breakthroughs etc. So you could battle your mind off with all the wars, civil disorder, people’s problem, trading, food and facilities. Civ 4 went on to become an award winning game.

Warlords Expansion Pack in Civilization Gold

In Warlords as you might have guessed by name, there were more army ideas and aids. You could be working on your security systems and/or preparing for attack. It offered new civilizations, ten new leaders and world scenarios to choose from.

Nevertheless, even without any changes in game, Civilization Gold sold out quite well in the American, European and Australian markets because of the vast fan following that the game of Civilization has.
